Resin8 coatings was formed in 2009, originally using the Clearstone product for the first 10 years. This product was at the time the best product available on the market, providing superior stain resistance.

We worked very closely with the developers of this product during this time to help improve the appearance and the application process. One of the main things we always wanted to improve was the appearance of the coating.

We felt that a stone protection system should not be visible and should also not change the feel of the stone. This led us to searching for a better alternative.

In 2019 we teamed up with an Australian based company called Illawarra Coatings and began work on creating a new stone sealing system.

Our key criteria were:

The Sealer should not alter the look of the stone.

The sealer should not alter the feel of the stone.

There should be no visible sign that there is a protective sealer on the stone surface.

The Sealer should be easily repairable should scratches or chips occur.

In the end after a lot of trial and error we met all of our key criteria and developed a product that we believe to be the best natural stone sealer available in the world.
